This event is the largest 5k in Delaware that supports the fight against ALS, myasthenia gravis, muscular dystrophy, and additional forms of neuromuscular disease. Our inclusive 5k welcomes participants of all abilities. Hundreds of participants walk, run, or utilize an adaptive running chair to dedicate their 3.14 miles to the fight against muscle disease. After our registrants cross the finish line, they will enjoy an after party with awards, music, refreshments, and more fun! Contributions from this event are utilized to provide physical, financial, and emotional accommodations to Delawareans who are affected by muscle damaging disease.

The Joseph Williams Memorial Award is presented in honor of the life of Joseph "Joeski" Williams. Joseph Williams, better known to his family as “Joe” or “Joey”, and to his friends as, “Joeski”, passed away from the effects of Friedrich’s Ataxia on October 31, 2013 at the age of 30. We are reminded of Joey's ability to remain resilient and live his life to the fullest, despite the deterioration of his health. We are reminded to live like Joeski by never giving up hope.
